The Tanzania Police Force, Dar es Salaam Special Zone, has continued to carry out its core mandate of preventing and combating crime across different parts of the city, noting that the overall security situation remains calm and stable. Speaking to journalists, the Dar es Salaam Special Zone Police Commander, SACP Muliro Jumanne Muliro, said that between January 30 and February 24, 2026, a total of 46 suspects were arrested in connection with various criminal offences, including armed robbery, burglary, breaking into warehouses and stores, and theft. Among those arrested are Rashidi Mtunguja, also known as “Msambaa,” and four others in Jangwani, Ilala; Issa Nassoro, alias “Kurukutu,” and two others in Gongolamboto, Ilala; as well as Nicolaus Abdallah Said, a resident of Manzese, and four accomplices.
