Adorable Wedding Trade Fair Set for April 17–19 in Dar es Salaam

The Managing Director of Adorable Wedding Trade Fair, Anna Lema, has announced a special three-day business exhibition that will bring together a wide range of wedding and event service providers from April 17 to 19 this year.

Speaking about the preparations, Lema said the exhibition will gather key players in the wedding industry, including bridal gown designers, cake makers, wedding planners, fashion designers, decorators, and other professionals involved in event organization.

She noted that this year’s edition introduces an improvement aimed at reducing costs for exhibitors. Service providers will utilize in-house shop frames within the venue as display booths, eliminating the need to rent external exhibition tents as was previously required. The move has significantly lowered participation costs.

According to Lema, participation fees will range from TZS 150,000 to TZS 400,000, depending on the size and type of space selected by exhibitors.

Participants will also have the opportunity to showcase their full production processes—from concept to completion—including live demonstrations of bridal gown tailoring and cake decoration. The initiative is expected to give visitors deeper insight into the creativity, craftsmanship, and quality available within Tanzania’s wedding industry.

The event will also feature a dedicated fashion show segment, offering designers a platform to present their wedding collections before a live audience.

Members of the public will be granted free entry throughout the three-day exhibition, a move aimed at attracting more Tanzanians to explore a wide variety of wedding products and services at no cost.

Meanwhile, a representative from the East African Business Council (EABC) confirmed that the organization has decided to sponsor the event as part of its commitment to supporting local businesses. The sponsorship seeks to promote domestic enterprises, expand market opportunities for service providers, and give Tanzanians access to wedding exhibition experiences free of charge.

The Adorable Wedding Trade Fair is expected to serve as an important platform connecting designers, entrepreneurs, and the public within Tanzania’s growing wedding industry.

*Government Launches 15274 Hotline to Ease Access to National ID Information

Dar es Salaam: The Government has urged citizens to use their mobile phones by dialing *15274 to easily access information related to National Identification Cards (NIDA). Speaking today, December 29, 2025, the Minister for Home Affairs, George Simbachawene, said the service will enable citizens to check the status of their National ID cards, including whether the card has been produced or not, with feedback provided within five days. He explained that through this number, citizens will receive important information regarding their National IDs, adding that damaged ID cards are expected to be replaced starting February 2026. “By using this number, you will be able to get information on whether your ID card has been produced. I emphasize that damaged ID cards will be issued in February 2026,” said Minister Simbachawene.
