The Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade , H.E. Péter Szijjártó, has concluded his official visit to Tanzania on September 29, 2025. During his stay, H.E. Szijjártó held a private meeting with his host, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, H.E. Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo , followed by bilateral discussions aimed at strengthening diplomatic cooperation in strategic sectors, including education, agriculture, tourism, technology, trade, and investment. As part of the visit, H.E. Szijjártó, together with H.E. Ambassador Kombo, participated in the official opening ceremony of the Embassy of Hungary offices located in Masaki, Dar es Salaam . The Government of Hungary has announced its partnership with Tanzania to implement a major water supply project from Lake Victoria in Biharamulo District, valued at USD 55 million, set to benefit more than 200,000 residents.
