GOVERNMENT VALUES SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED ENTREPRENEURS IN BOOSTING THEIR BUSINESSES
DAR ES SALAAM:
The Government has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting small and medium-sized entrepreneurs by creating a conducive business environment to enable them to grow and expand their businesses.
The Minister for Industry and Trade, Hon. Judith Kapinga (MP), made the remarks today when she launched a cake pricing guidebook prepared by a Tanzanian entrepreneur, Ms. Tahya, popularly known as Leymax.
Minister Kapinga commended Leymax for her contribution to the development of entrepreneurship in Tanzania, noting that many young people, particularly women and men, have benefited from her training and skills in cake-making.
“The Government values the significant contribution made by small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in the country, and we are committed to creating a conducive business environment for cake bakers,” Minister Kapinga said.
She further noted that the baking sector provides employment and livelihood opportunities for many entrepreneurs and plays an important role in expanding economic opportunities.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Tahya thanked Minister Kapinga for attending the launch of the guidebook, saying the publication would help bring positive changes to the cake-baking sector in Tanzania.
She also pledged to continue creating more opportunities for entrepreneurs through training, skills development and knowledge-sharing in the baking industry.
