DR HOMERA ARRIVES AT MINISTRY OF ENERGY, CALLS FOR SPEED AND PROFESSIONALISM
DODOMA:
Minister for Energy, Dr Juma Zuberi Homera, has called on leaders and staff at the Ministry of Energy to enhance speed and professionalism in the execution of their duties to ensure Tanzanians receive quality services through the energy sector.
Dr Homera made the remarks today, October 1, 2026, shortly after arriving at the Ministry of Energy offices in the Government City of Mtumba, Dodoma, following his swearing-in by President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan, at Chamwino State House in Dodoma.
Upon his arrival at the Ministry, Dr Homera was received by Ministry leaders and staff, as well as officials from institutions under the Ministry, led by Deputy Minister for Energy, Hon. Salome Makamba.
Addressing the leaders and staff, Dr Homera stressed the importance of working with speed, professionalism and cooperation to further improve services provided to citizens and advance the development of the energy sector in the country.
He also pledged to work closely with Ministry leaders, officials and staff, as well as institutions under the Ministry, in executing their responsibilities and building on the achievements already made in the sector.
Dr Homera further commended the work undertaken so far in the energy sector, particularly the implementation of various projects, while calling on staff to give him their cooperation in maintaining the pace of implementation of activities and projects.
For her part, Deputy Minister for Energy, Hon. Salome Makamba, assured Dr Homera of cooperation from Ministry leaders, officials and staff, as well as institutions under the Ministry, in the execution of his responsibilities.
