Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ambassador Waziri Salum, has held talks with Oman’s Secretary General for Industry, Trade and Investment, H.E. Ibtisam Al Farooji, and her delegation, with the aim of strengthening economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Waziri briefed the Omani delegation on the trade opportunities available in Tanzania and expressed the country’s intention to increase exports of its products to Oman, particularly livestock and agricultural products.

He said trade between Tanzania and Oman has increased from USD 18 million in 2017 to USD 160.8 million in 2025, with Tanzania importing oil and gas products from Oman.

Tanzania and Oman have maintained strong trade relations, underpinned by a long-standing historical partnership between the two countries.
