MINISTER KAPINGA JOINS PRIME MINISTER’S VISIT TO MOWASALAT TRANSPORT COMPANY






📌 Praises employment of 722 Tanzanians

📌 Says exports are increasingly shifting towards exporting employment opportunities

Doha, Qatar

Minister for Industry and Trade, Hon. Judith Kapinga, today joined the Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba, during a visit to Mowasalat, a state-owned public transport company providing transportation services in Qatar.

During the visit, Minister Kapinga commended Mowasalat for employing 722 Tanzanian youth in various positions, describing the opportunity as an important avenue for Tanzanians to secure employment, acquire skills and gain experience in the international labour market.

Minister Kapinga emphasised that the Government will continue to place greater emphasis on investing in educated youth in order to create employment opportunities, enhance skills and increase national income.

She also called on the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TANTRADE) to place greater emphasis on identifying and promoting investment opportunities in the services sector and make this one of the key performance indicators in expanding Tanzania’s services exports to international markets.
