PERTERMS EMERGES WINNER AT INTERNATIONAL GOOD GOVERNANCE PLATFORM




In a development that highlights the growing contribution of Tanzanian professionals on the global stage, Perterms Consultancy Limited has been announced as the winner of the Share My Story Initiative contribution award organized by the Basel Institute on Governance through the Sixth International Collective Action Conference.

Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Perterms Chief Executive Officer, Shakibu Nsekela, said the initiative aimed to provide a platform for professionals and institutions from around the world to share experiences on how stakeholder collaboration can strengthen accountability, risk management, governance, and integrity within businesses and institutions.

Nsekela further stated that Perterms’ victory is not only an achievement for the company but also a reflection of Tanzania’s growing contribution to international discussions on good governance and the development of strong institutional and business systems.

Perterms Consultancy Limited is a Tanzanian consulting firm specializing in corporate governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, fraud investigations, integrity management, due diligence, institutional and project assessments, as well as asset recovery.

In addition, the company supports public and private sector institutions in strengthening accountability, managing risks, and improving performance through professional solutions based on research evidence and practical experience.

Nsekela concluded by noting that Perterms has built extensive expertise through collaboration with private sector institutions, development organizations, and investment partners in strengthening governance systems, promoting transparency in business decision-making, and enhancing institutional capacity to identify and mitigate risks before they result in significant harm.

*Government Launches 15274 Hotline to Ease Access to National ID Information

Dar es Salaam: The Government has urged citizens to use their mobile phones by dialing *15274 to easily access information related to National Identification Cards (NIDA). Speaking today, December 29, 2025, the Minister for Home Affairs, George Simbachawene, said the service will enable citizens to check the status of their National ID cards, including whether the card has been produced or not, with feedback provided within five days. He explained that through this number, citizens will receive important information regarding their National IDs, adding that damaged ID cards are expected to be replaced starting February 2026. “By using this number, you will be able to get information on whether your ID card has been produced. I emphasize that damaged ID cards will be issued in February 2026,” said Minister Simbachawene.
