OVER 3,752 COMPANIES AND 23 COUNTRIES SET TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS YEAR'S SABASABA TRADE FAIR

A total of more than 3,752 companies are expected to participate in the 50th International Trade Fair (Sabasaba) organized by the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TANTRADE) this year.

In addition, 23 countries are also expected to take part in the major exhibition.

This was revealed today in Dar es Salaam by the Director General of TANTRADE, Dr. Latifa M. Khamis, while addressing journalists on the official commencement of the fair, which is scheduled to run from June 28 to July 13, 2026.

Dr. Khamis said preparations for the exhibition have been completed 100 percent, noting that this year's event is particularly significant as it marks the 50th anniversary of the trade fair.

"This year’s exhibition will be unique as it celebrates 50 years since its establishment. We have planned several commemorative activities, including special celebrations during the exhibition and a fun run from the racecourse grounds to the Sabasaba exhibition grounds," she said.

Dr. Khamis added that this year’s Sabasaba Trade Fair is expected to be officially inaugurated by a senior national leader, whose name will be announced soon by the Minister for Industry and Trade, Judith Kapinga.

She further noted that TANTRADE appreciates the efforts of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, who has continued to support and promote the growth and success of the exhibition.
