PRAY FOR THE PRESIDENT, PRAY FOR THE NATION – MASHILI




Tanzanians have been encouraged to continue praying for the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, so that she may have the peace of mind to lead the nation with harmony, love, and unity.

This call was made today, April 19, 2026, by the Chief Executive Officer of MASHILI Company Limited, who is also the CEO of the Gold Processing Project (Matinje Mining, Msilale Mining, and Igurubi Mining), Mr. Peter Andrea Mashili. He made these remarks while attending the Inland Festival organized by the Africa Inland Church Tanzania (AIC) in Nzega District, Tabora Region.

Mashili stated that President Dr. Samia is doing significant work in opening up the country and bringing development, and therefore it is the responsibility of citizens to pray for her so she can lead with wisdom and national unity.

He also called on religious leaders and all residents of Nzega District to pray for the Member of Parliament for Nzega Urban Constituency, Hon. Hussein Bashe, so that he may serve his position with integrity and professionalism in the Parliament of Tanzania.

He emphasized that praying for all leaders in the country will help promote and spread peace, which will in turn ensure continued stability in Tanzania.

“Prayer is a powerful weapon, and I continue to insist on praying for our leaders because it will facilitate the spread of the Gospel and strengthen lasting unity among Tanzanians,” Mashili was quoted as saying.

During the festival, Peter Mashili contributed a total of 3,200,000 Tanzanian shillings to support improvements of Inland TV studios and the purchase of broadcasting equipment for the church’s television and radio services.

*Government Launches 15274 Hotline to Ease Access to National ID Information

Dar es Salaam: The Government has urged citizens to use their mobile phones by dialing *15274 to easily access information related to National Identification Cards (NIDA). Speaking today, December 29, 2025, the Minister for Home Affairs, George Simbachawene, said the service will enable citizens to check the status of their National ID cards, including whether the card has been produced or not, with feedback provided within five days. He explained that through this number, citizens will receive important information regarding their National IDs, adding that damaged ID cards are expected to be replaced starting February 2026. “By using this number, you will be able to get information on whether your ID card has been produced. I emphasize that damaged ID cards will be issued in February 2026,” said Minister Simbachawene.   The Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Ambassador Dr. Emmanuel Nchimbi, joined national leaders and members of the public in a Holy Mass commemorating the fifth anniversary of the passing of the Fifth Phase President of Tanzania, the late Dr. John Pombe Magufuli.
