WMA – DODOMA

The Chief Executive Officer of the Weights and Measures Agency (WMA), Alban Kihulla, has directed members of the agency’s management team to engage in open and constructive discussions aimed at further improving service delivery to citizens, thereby supporting the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, in nation-building efforts.

He made these remarks earlier today, March 26, 2026, while opening a management workshop convened to review the implementation of the 2025/26 plan and budget, as well as to deliberate on the plan and budget for the 2026/27 financial year.

“Our discussions should be open, and each member must contribute valuable ideas for the benefit of our nation,” he emphasized.

Additionally, CEO Kihulla urged participants of the meeting, held at the agency’s headquarters in the Medeli area of Dodoma, to thoroughly analyze and scrutinize the upcoming financial year’s plan and budget to ensure effective implementation.

The Weights and Measures Agency operates under the Ministry of Industry and Trade and is primarily responsible for protecting consumers through the verification and regulation of accurate measurements.
