DR. MWIGULU TAKES PART IN TREE-PLANTING EXERCISE IN DODOMA.

The Prime Minister, Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba, today January 27, 2026, participated in a tree-planting exercise held in front of the Prime Minister’s Office at Mlimwa, Dodoma City.

The exercise forms part of efforts to support the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, following her patriotic decision to mark her birthday through practical actions aimed at environmental conservation.

Speaking after the exercise, Dr. Mwigulu, who was accompanied by his spouse, Mrs. Neema Mwigulu, commended President Samia for her leadership, noting that she continues to demonstrate the qualities of a visionary, innovative leader who cares deeply about the broader interests of the nation.

“This activity has been unique because it has led to trees being planted in every corner of the country. In our holy books, planting a tree is regarded as an act of worship because the beneficiaries of trees are many,” he said.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister called upon Tanzanians to commemorate their birthdays by planting trees. “When we have an occasion worth remembering, we should do something that leaves a mark and brings benefits to others,” he emphasized.

The Prime Minister planted a Mdodoma/Mtimaji tree (Trichilia emetica).
