Bukombe Parliamentary candidate under the ruling party Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Dr. Doto Mashaka Biteko, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Bukombe for the honor and support they have shown him throughout the campaign period in the district.


Dr. Biteko conveyed his appreciation on October 27, 2025, during the closing campaign rally held at Igulwa Grounds in Bukombe District, Geita Region.


“I want to tell the people of Bukombe that you always give me a great debt in my heart without even realizing it. You give me an honor I sometimes feel I do not deserve because, as a human being, I have many shortcomings,” said Dr. Biteko.


He also extended his gratitude to the mobilization youth groups and pledged to continue supporting them materially and morally.


“I will do everything possible to ensure that our mobilization youth continue beyond the campaigns — they are our young people, and we must empower them. Every time we call upon you, you show up — and that gives me both a debt and a great sense of honor,” he emphasized.


Additionally, Dr. Biteko reminded Bukombe residents that today marked the end of the campaign period in the constituency and urged them to turn out in large numbers on October 29 to vote for all CCM candidates so that the party can continue leading the nation.

*Government Launches 15274 Hotline to Ease Access to National ID Information

Dar es Salaam: The Government has urged citizens to use their mobile phones by dialing *15274 to easily access information related to National Identification Cards (NIDA). Speaking today, December 29, 2025, the Minister for Home Affairs, George Simbachawene, said the service will enable citizens to check the status of their National ID cards, including whether the card has been produced or not, with feedback provided within five days. He explained that through this number, citizens will receive important information regarding their National IDs, adding that damaged ID cards are expected to be replaced starting February 2026. “By using this number, you will be able to get information on whether your ID card has been produced. I emphasize that damaged ID cards will be issued in February 2026,” said Minister Simbachawene.
