DR. SAMIA SULUHU HASSAN TO HOLD THREE-DAY CAMPAIGN RALLIES STARTING OCTOBER 21, 2025.

The Presidential Candidate for the United Republic of Tanzania under the ruling party Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, is set to hold campaign rallies in Dar es Salaam from October 21 to October 23, 2025, ahead of the General Election scheduled for October 29, 2025, which will involve the election of the President, Members of Parliament, and Councillors.

Speaking about the visit, Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner (RC) Albert Chalamila said Dr. Samia is expected to hold rallies at Leaders Club grounds, TANESCO grounds in Temeke, and Kinyerezi grounds. He called on residents to turn out in large numbers to listen to the candidate’s policies and development agenda.

RC Chalamila assured the residents of the region that security remains stable and will continue to be maintained before, during, and after the elections. He urged citizens to actively participate in all electoral activities and come out in large numbers to vote on October 29 without fear or intimidation.

Addressing some of the ongoing challenges, Chalamila mentioned the water shortage in the region, saying the government has taken firm steps to find a lasting solution. He noted that new water pumps have been purchased, and the completion of the Kidunda Dam project will permanently solve the water supply problem in Dar es Salaam.

He also highlighted improvements in electricity supply, adding that the government is working to mitigate flooding challenges by constructing new bridges at Jangwani, Kigogo, and Mkwajuni, as well as Geti Jeusi and Nguva bridges in Kigamboni.

Furthermore, RC Chalamila spoke about the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, noting that the government has partnered with the private sector to enhance efficiency. He issued a ban on minibuses (daladala), tricycles (bajaji), and motorcycles (bodaboda) from using BRT lanes, emphasizing that the system is meant to serve as a fast and reliable means of transport for city residents.
