PRIME MINISTER TO REPRESENT PRESIDENT SAMIA AT ACTIF 2025 IN GRENADA.

Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa arrived in St. George’s, Grenada, on July 27, 2025, where he will represent President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan at the 4th Afri-Caribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF 2025), scheduled to take place from July 28–30, 2025, at the Radisson Conference Center.

This high-level forum aims to strengthen economic cooperation between African nations and Caribbean islands under the theme: “Resilience and Transformation: Strengthening Africa-Caribbean Economic Partnership in an Era of Global Challenges.”

During the event, the Prime Minister is expected to participate in the Heads of State and Government Panel, hold bilateral meetings with other leaders, and engage in discussions with major investors. This aligns with Tanzania’s commitment to attracting international investments to foster the development of a modern and competitive economy.

Prime Minister Majaliwa’s participation on behalf of President Samia underscores the government’s strong commitment to advancing economic diplomacy by positioning Tanzania on the global stage and enhancing partnerships that drive inclusive development for all Tanzanians.

Key issues on the agenda include the establishment of an Africa-Caribbean Free Trade Area, strengthening the Africa-Caribbean Business Council, promoting economic growth and innovation, and improving air and maritime connectivity between Africa and the Caribbean.

The forum is organized by the Government of Grenada in collaboration with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), an international financial institution dedicated to promoting the trade of goods and services within and beyond Africa.
