Masoud Hassan Commends CCM Process, Pledges Full Support to Kinondoni Candidate



Former CCM parliamentary aspirant for Kinondoni Constituency, Masoud Hassan Maftaa, has issued a statement of respect and solidarity after his name did not appear on the list of aspirants approved to proceed in the party’s nomination process.


Speaking after the results were announced, Masoud said:


"We all know that Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has its rules, regulations, traditions, and procedures. We filled out the forms, and the leaders went through all names. Unfortunately, I was not among those who advanced. This is normal in politics and any competition where only one winner emerges among many."


He congratulated the party leadership for conducting the process transparently and affirmed his unwavering loyalty to CCM.


Masoud further pledged to work hand-in-hand with the candidate who will be endorsed to carry the CCM flag in Kinondoni:


"I will be ready to work with him shoulder-to-shoulder, reaching every corner of Kinondoni, convincing our members and even non-members to vote for CCM, ensuring a resounding victory."


This statement reflects strong party loyalty and unity within CCM as the 2025 General Election approaches.

*Government Launches 15274 Hotline to Ease Access to National ID Information

Dar es Salaam: The Government has urged citizens to use their mobile phones by dialing *15274 to easily access information related to National Identification Cards (NIDA). Speaking today, December 29, 2025, the Minister for Home Affairs, George Simbachawene, said the service will enable citizens to check the status of their National ID cards, including whether the card has been produced or not, with feedback provided within five days. He explained that through this number, citizens will receive important information regarding their National IDs, adding that damaged ID cards are expected to be replaced starting February 2026. “By using this number, you will be able to get information on whether your ID card has been produced. I emphasize that damaged ID cards will be issued in February 2026,” said Minister Simbachawene.
