Chief Secretary to Officiate Four-Day Training for Public Sector Executives at Mwalimu Nyerere Leadership School.
Chief Secretary, Ambassador Dr. Moses Kusiluka, is expected to officiate the opening of a four-day training program for Chief Executives of public institutions, agencies, and government authorities. The training will take place from July 28 to 31, 2025, at the Mwalimu Nyerere Leadership School in Kibaha, Pwani Region.
The program, organized by the Treasury Registrar’s Office in collaboration with the Uongozi Institute, aims to equip new Chief Executives—alongside those who have not previously undergone the training—with the knowledge and skills necessary to execute their roles effectively while upholding principles of good governance.
Speaking about the training, Treasury Registrar Nehemiah Mchechu emphasized that the program reflects the strong commitment of the Sixth Phase Government, under the leadership of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, to ensure that executives have a proper understanding of their responsibilities and perform them efficiently.
He further noted that the program is a continuation of various efforts by his office to implement the President’s vision and the philosophy of the 4Rs—Reconciliation, Reforms, Resilience, and Rebuilding.
According to Mchechu, the Treasury Registrar’s Office currently oversees a total of 308 institutions, public corporations, government agencies, and companies in which the government holds minority shares. These investments are valued at TZS 86.25 trillion, of which TZS 83.33 trillion is invested in public institutions, corporations, and government agencies, while TZS 2.92 trillion is invested in companies where the government owns minority shares.
