DR. BITEKO ARRIVES IN RWANDA TO PARTICIPATE IN AFRICAN NUCLEAR ENERGY SUMMIT.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Hon. Dr. Doto Biteko, arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, on June 29, 2025, to participate in a high-level African summit focused on nuclear energy.


The summit, scheduled to take place from June 30 to July 1, 2025, brings together energy stakeholders from across Africa and beyond with the goal of accelerating the adoption of modern nuclear technologies to transform the continent's energy landscape.


As part of his participation, Dr. Biteko is expected to deliver opening remarks and lead a discussion on “Africa’s Energy Future and Political Will.”


Dr. Biteko is accompanied by, Hon. Cosato Chumi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Eng. Felchesmi Mramba, Permanent Secretary – Ministry of Energy and Prof. Najat Mohamed, Director General – Tanzania Atomic Energy Commission


The summit presents a strategic platform for collaboration and innovation in pursuit of a sustainable and energy-secure Africa.
