BELARUS OFFERS BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES TO TANZANIANS THROUGH TanTrade

The Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade) has continued strengthening efforts to promote international trade after receiving a delegation from Belarus. The visit aimed to discuss opportunities for enhancing trade and investment cooperation between Tanzania and Belarus.

Speaking on the available opportunities in Tanzania, TanTrade Director General, Dr. Latifa M. Khamis, highlighted that the country offers vast business potential across several sectors, including mining, agriculture, health, transport, and entertainment.

On the Belarus side, the Director General of the National Export Promotion Centre, Mr. Mikalai Barysevich, noted that his country has made significant investments in industrial technologies, creating opportunities for Tanzania to benefit from advanced technology and expertise in these sectors.

Furthermore, TanTrade used the occasion to invite Mr. Mikalai and business stakeholders from Belarus to participate in the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair, scheduled to take place from June 28, 2026, in Dar es Salaam. The event will serve as a key platform to showcase various products, services, and technologies.

The discussions were held at TanTrade headquarters in Dar es Salaam.
