DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE END OF THE YEAR TO START MAKING CHANGES – DR. LEKASHINGO
DODOMA
The Chairperson of the Mining Commission, Dr. Janet Lekashingo, has encouraged female employees of the Commission to begin taking steps toward positive changes in their lives now, instead of waiting until the end of the year to set new plans.
Speaking last night during an Iftar dinner organized by women employees of the Mining Commission at the Commission’s headquarters in Dodoma, Dr. Lekashingo said that success begins with small steps carried out with discipline and consistency within a short period of time.
She explained that instead of waiting for the start of a new year to make changes, individuals should ask themselves what they can accomplish within a 12-week period to improve their health, gain new skills, or bring positive changes into their lives.
She emphasized that major transformations do not necessarily require a long period as many people believe, but rather a short time combined with discipline, genuine commitment, and consistent implementation of set goals.
“If a person sets clear goals and remains committed to them, within a short time they can witness significant changes in their lives,” she said.
Dr. Lekashingo further noted that success is not a matter of luck but results from discipline, personal effort, and accountability, stressing the importance of having clear goals and pursuing them without giving up.
She also urged women not to allow others to determine the direction of their lives, explaining that a woman with courage and vision has the ability to transform not only her own life but also the lives of many others and even an entire generation.
In addition, she emphasized the importance of building a legacy in one’s work, encouraging employees to ask themselves whether, in the next 10 or 20 years, when the mining sector is mentioned, they will be remembered for their contribution to transforming and developing it.
The Iftar was also attended by Mining Commission Commissioners Dr. Theresia Numbi and Engineer Theonestina Mwasha, who commended the Commission’s women employees for their love, unity, and dedication to their work, while urging them to continue putting God first in everything they do.
