SALAMBA URGES TANZANIANS TO TRY NEW VIN NKOLOMBOKA DRINK

Football analyst Dominick Salamba has encouraged Tanzanians to try a new beverage known as Vin Nkolomboka, describing it as a unique product with a distinctive taste now entering the local market.

Salamba made the remarks today in Dar es Salaam while speaking to journalists about the launch of the drink.

He said Vin Nkolomboka, produced by Simba SBL, contains a blend of an energy drink and 12 percent alcohol, and is expected to be sold at an affordable price to reach a wide range of consumers.

He added that promotional campaigns are currently underway in various regions across the country, urging Tanzanians to try the drink, which he claims can help boost energy.

Furthermore, Salamba emphasized that, according to information provided by the manufacturer, the beverage is safe for consumers when taken responsibly and according to the recommended guidelines.

*Government Launches 15274 Hotline to Ease Access to National ID Information

Dar es Salaam: The Government has urged citizens to use their mobile phones by dialing *15274 to easily access information related to National Identification Cards (NIDA). Speaking today, December 29, 2025, the Minister for Home Affairs, George Simbachawene, said the service will enable citizens to check the status of their National ID cards, including whether the card has been produced or not, with feedback provided within five days. He explained that through this number, citizens will receive important information regarding their National IDs, adding that damaged ID cards are expected to be replaced starting February 2026. “By using this number, you will be able to get information on whether your ID card has been produced. I emphasize that damaged ID cards will be issued in February 2026,” said Minister Simbachawene.
