GF TRUCKS & EQUIPMENT LTD SPONSORS SINGIDA BLACK STARS PLAYER OF THE MONTH AWARD

GF Trucks & Equipment Ltd has officially entered into an agreement to sponsor the Player of the Month Award for Singida Black Stars FC, as part of its continued commitment to supporting the growth of the sports sector in Tanzania.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, the company’s Marketing and Business Director, Mr. Salman Karmali, said the sponsorship aims to motivate young players, enhance competition, and contribute to the development of football in the country.

“We thank Almighty God for enabling us to be here today to witness this important agreement. As a company, we have celebrated 19 years of success in the trucks and heavy equipment sector in Tanzania. At the same time, we have been strong supporters of sports, health, and infrastructure development through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives,” said Mr. Karmali.

He added that through this sponsorship, GF Trucks & Equipment Ltd seeks to inspire players and youth in general, while supporting the efforts of the Sixth Phase Government under President Samia Suluhu Hassan in advancing sports and community development.

Mr. Karmali also congratulated Singida Black Stars FC for their impressive performance in the Tanzanian Premier League and for qualifying for international competitions, noting that this reflects the steady growth and strength of the sports sector in the country.

“Today, we are strengthening the partnership between GF Trucks & Equipment Ltd and Singida Black Stars FC as part of building long-term cooperation with sports stakeholders,” he emphasized.

He further stated that the company remains a key stakeholder in construction and infrastructure development, highlighting that through its products—including FAW trucks and XCMG machinery such as excavators and wheel loaders—it continues to contribute significantly to the growth of the construction sector in Tanzania.

Mr. Karmali concluded by commending the leadership of Singida Black Stars, the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), and the Government for their continued efforts to promote and strengthen sports in Tanzania.

*Government Launches 15274 Hotline to Ease Access to National ID Information

Dar es Salaam: The Government has urged citizens to use their mobile phones by dialing *15274 to easily access information related to National Identification Cards (NIDA). Speaking today, December 29, 2025, the Minister for Home Affairs, George Simbachawene, said the service will enable citizens to check the status of their National ID cards, including whether the card has been produced or not, with feedback provided within five days. He explained that through this number, citizens will receive important information regarding their National IDs, adding that damaged ID cards are expected to be replaced starting February 2026. “By using this number, you will be able to get information on whether your ID card has been produced. I emphasize that damaged ID cards will be issued in February 2026,” said Minister Simbachawene.
