Tanzania and the UAE Strengthen Strategic Cooperation; President Samia Delivers a Special Message to the UAE President.




On December 26, 2025, Hon. Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, delivered a special message from H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, to the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

 The message was received by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE. The message focused on bilateral relations between Tanzania and the UAE.

The message was delivered during a meeting held in Abu Dhabi between His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Hon. Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo. During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations and advance areas of mutual cooperation across various sectors.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Minister Kombo’s visit, noting that it reflects the strong, brotherly, and unique relations between the two countries, which continue to grow steadily. The UAE’s top diplomat reaffirmed the United Arab Emirates’ commitment to working with Tanzania to capitalize on available opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation in a manner that supports the development priorities of both nations and brings greater prosperity and development to their peoples.

For his part, Hon. Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo expressed the readiness of the Government of Tanzania, under the leadership of H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, to further strengthen and elevate these relations.

The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of State; Ambassador (Ret.) Lieutenant General Mohammed Yacoub, Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to the United Arab Emirates; and other senior officials.
