TANFORD TO BRING TOGETHER BUSINESS, INVESTMENT, TRANSPORT AND ECONOMIC STAKEHOLDERS FROM TANZANIA

TANFORD Businessmen Administrative Services L.L.C, a Dubai-based company, has organized an International Conference dubbed the Tanzania Trade and Logistics Forum 2026, which will bring together key stakeholders in business, investment, transport and the economy from Tanzania, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), East Africa, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and landlocked countries.

Speaking to journalists today, December 16, in Dar es Salaam, the Chairman of the company, Mr. Hussein Jamali, said the forum will be held on February 13–14, 2026, in Dubai, UAE. He explained that the main objective is to promote trade and investment between Tanzania and the UAE, as well as the GCC, by attracting major investors, financial institutions, marketing companies and manufacturers to explore available investment opportunities in Tanzania.

He added that the forum will also serve as a platform to showcase investment opportunities in Tanzania, including those offered by the Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA), Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC), Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA), Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TANTRADE), Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA), Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority (ZIPA), as well as other government and business institutions.

Mr. Jamali further noted that other objectives of the forum include building strong public–private partnership platforms for contracts, joint ventures and the development of strategic projects, as well as supporting cargo, clearing and forwarding, and logistics companies by linking them with new markets in the UAE, GCC and Asia.

He explained that the forum will also expand opportunities for youth through the Youth Innovation and Business Stage program, where young entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas will have the chance to pitch their projects to investors. This initiative is also expected to increase Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from the UAE into Tanzania.

“Beyond these objectives, the forum will help Tanzanian companies penetrate international markets, build productive business networks, open doors for cooperation with landlocked countries that use Tanzania as a trade gateway, and enhance Tanzania’s image as a hub for trade, tourism and an industrial economy,” said Mr. Jamali.

He added that participants in the forum will include government institutions and private sector companies from Tanzania, the UAE, GCC, Asia and Africa; financial institutions; large-scale investors and private investors (angel investors and venture capitalists); representatives from landlocked countries; cargo, logistics, shipping and supply chain stakeholders; as well as Tanzanian youth through the Youth Innovation and Business Stage.

“The key themes to be discussed at the forum include international trade and markets; logistics, cargo and supply chains; technology and digital trade; investment in industry and agriculture; ports, railways, aviation and trade; trade and export financing; as well as youth innovation and startup pitching,” Mr. Jamali said.

He added, “We expect that after the forum there will be business agreements between Tanzanian and UAE companies, stronger cooperation among government institutions, increased international visibility for Tanzania, expanded markets for Tanzanian products and services, strengthened economic relations between Tanzania and the UAE, and youth gaining access to capital and mentorship for their projects.”

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Tanzania Association of Tour Operators (TATOA), Mr. Elias Lukumay, urged young people to seize the opportunity presented by the forum to grow their businesses and improve efficiency.

Similarly, the President of the Tanzania Freight Forwarders Association (TAFA), Mr. Edward Urio, said the forum is of great importance to the cargo and logistics sector and offers significant opportunities for landlocked countries that rely on the Port of Dar es Salaam.
