Government Reaffirms Transparent and Competitive Recruitment in Public Institutions




The Minister of State in the President’s Office for Public Service Management and Good Governance, Ridhiwani Kikwete, has affirmed that the government will continue to ensure that the recruitment process in public institutions, departments, and agencies remains transparent and merit-based, as outlined in the national employment policy.

Speaking at a press briefing today, December 12, 2025, in Dar es Salaam, he announced that for the 2025/2026 financial year, the government has approved 41,500 new employment permits, including 12,000 job vacancies.

Minister Ridhiwani Kikwete added that out of these approved positions, 5,000 are allocated to the health sector, while 7,000 are for teaching positions in science and mathematics subjects.

He further stated that the interview process for these positions will begin tomorrow, December 13, 2025.
