Dr. Biteko Takes Part in Concrete Casting at Butinzya Dispensary, Commends Citizens’ Participation in Development
Bukombe, December 29, 2025 –
The Member of Parliament for Bukombe Constituency, Dr. Doto Biteko, today joined residents of Butinzya Ward in a concrete casting exercise at a dispensary under construction in the area, commending them for their spirit of volunteerism and active participation in development initiatives.
Dr. Biteko was accompanied by district-level Party and Government leaders, as well as the Ward Councillor, and told residents that the Sixth Phase Government values cooperation and the commitment of citizens in driving development forward.
In his address, Dr. Biteko praised the people of Butinzya for demonstrating patriotism through action by taking part in the construction of the dispensary instead of relying solely on the Government to deliver development.
“Development cannot be achieved by the Government alone without the cooperation of citizens. You have set a good example, and I stand with you at every step to ensure that development in Bukombe is realized rapidly and effectively,” Dr. Biteko emphasized.
He also took the opportunity to thank President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her continued commitment to the development of Bukombe District through the allocation of funds for various development projects.
“Her Excellency the President has a genuine commitment to improving the lives of her people. Whenever we request funds for development projects, she has been responsive and ensured timely disbursement,” said Dr. Biteko.
The exercise forms part of the Government’s broader efforts to improve access to healthcare services closer to the people and to address challenges related to the availability of basic services, particularly in rural areas.
