MINISTER NDEJEMBI TAKES OVER OFFICE FROM FORMER DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER AND MINISTER FOR ENERGY, DR. BITEKO




The Minister for Energy, Hon. Deogratius Ndejembi, was officially handed over the office today, November 20, 2025, by the former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy, Hon. Dr. Doto Mashaka Biteko, at the Ministry’s offices located in Mtumba, Dodoma. He expressed his gratitude to Hon. Biteko for his dedicated service throughout his tenure.


Minister Ndejembi noted that during Dr. Biteko’s leadership, the performance of the energy sector had significantly improved, with service delivery enhanced and notable progress achieved in advancing the sector.


He pledged to continue all the initiatives left by Hon. Biteko to ensure the government’s goals and vision for major projects by 2030 are fully realized.


For his part, Hon. Dr. Biteko congratulated Hon. Deogratius Ndejembi for his appointment as Minister for Energy and assured him of his full support in working toward the ambitious vision of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, for the Energy sector.


“ I learned many things during my time at the Ministry of Energy, but above all, my prayers are with you as you execute your daily duties,” said Dr. Biteko.


The handover ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister for Energy, Hon. Salome Makamba; the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Eng. Felchesmi Mramba; and senior officials from the Ministry of Energy.
