NGORONGORO and TANAPA Expand Tourism Promotion Efforts in the European Market..

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) and the Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA) have intensified efforts to promote Tanzania internationally through their participation in the ongoing Tourism Road Show taking place in Spain.


The exhibition, organized by a Tanzania-based Destination Management Company (DMC), Tanganyika Expeditors, was held in Barcelona on October 6, 2025. The event brought together various tourism stakeholders, including tour operators and investors from within and outside the city.


Through their participation, NGORONGORO and TANAPA had the opportunity to share vital information with travel agents to help them organize tours for visitors interested in exploring Tanzania’s diverse attractions — such as the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and national parks including Serengeti, Manyara, and Tarangire, among other unique destinations managed by the two institutions.


In addition to NCAA and TANAPA, other Tanzanian participants included Miracle Experience – Tanzania, Auram Treks, Karafuu Beach Resort and Spa, and Malia Hotels International.


The Tourism Road Show, which began on October 6, will continue in other major Spanish cities including Madrid and Seville, and is scheduled to conclude on October 8, 2025.

*Government Launches 15274 Hotline to Ease Access to National ID Information

Dar es Salaam: The Government has urged citizens to use their mobile phones by dialing *15274 to easily access information related to National Identification Cards (NIDA). Speaking today, December 29, 2025, the Minister for Home Affairs, George Simbachawene, said the service will enable citizens to check the status of their National ID cards, including whether the card has been produced or not, with feedback provided within five days. He explained that through this number, citizens will receive important information regarding their National IDs, adding that damaged ID cards are expected to be replaced starting February 2026. “By using this number, you will be able to get information on whether your ID card has been produced. I emphasize that damaged ID cards will be issued in February 2026,” said Minister Simbachawene.
