VOTE ON OCTOBER 29, DEMAND DEVELOPMENT – DR. BITEKO

Bukombe Constituency parliamentary candidate under the ruling party CCM, Dr. Doto Mashaka Biteko, has told Bukombe residents that the development achieved in their constituency is a result of President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s love for them. He urged them to come out in large numbers on October 29 to vote for CCM candidates so that progress can continue.

Dr. Biteko made the remarks on September 16, 2025, during a campaign rally held at Runzewe West Ward in Bukombe District, Geita Region, as part of the General Election campaigns for the President, Members of Parliament, and Councilors scheduled for October 29 this year.

He highlighted that over the past five years, under President Samia’s CCM-led government, major development projects have been implemented in the ward, including roads, schools, and water projects. He mentioned the Msasa project, which is set for expansion to serve more residents.

He added that during the same period, the district built a new council headquarters, a modern market, and a bus terminal to improve service delivery.

“Our district now has five A-level secondary schools, we are constructing a university in Bukombe, and we have built storage facilities. Let me assure you, if you re-elect us, we will add another secondary school so that every child born here can access all levels of education,” Dr. Biteko said.

He emphasized, “Your role as citizens is to vote so that you can demand development. President Samia loves the people of Runzewe, she loves the people of Bukombe. Therefore, on October 29, let us turn out in large numbers and elect her as President.”

Meanwhile, Runzewe West Ward councilor candidate Patrick Isongolo said President Samia and Dr. Biteko had made significant efforts to bring development to the ward, hence citizens should vote for CCM candidates on October 29.

“Last year, Biteko contributed to the construction of a health center. We had serious challenges with the road and bridge near Sae, but Dr. Biteko and the CCM government mobilized resources and brought us the development we are now witnessing,” said Isongolo.

In another campaign stop at Runzewe East Ward, Dr. Biteko said President Samia is determined to ensure that citizens experience rapid and high-level development.

He explained that President Samia allocated funds to complete the construction of the Msonga health facility, build another health center, and a school.

“I stand before you today to announce that the road at Kona Nne will be rehabilitated so that people can travel with ease. I have instructed the councilor to identify land for the construction of a new school so that children can have a proper place to study,” Dr. Biteko said.

He further stated that they are committed to extending electricity to every hamlet in Runzewe East Ward.

Additionally, he reminded citizens that no development will be achieved without them turning out to vote for President Samia Suluhu Hassan, himself as MP, and Mary as councilor.

“There are 17,006 registered voters here. I appeal to all of us to go out and vote,” said Dr. Biteko.

For her part, Runzewe East Ward councilor Mary Nchiba urged residents to vote for CCM candidates, stressing that they have delivered significant development to the community.
