NCAA Continues to Strengthen Water Infrastructure in Sendui and Irkeepusi Villages

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA), through its Community Development Department and Engineering Services Department, is continuing to improve water infrastructure in Sendui and Irkeepusi villages in the Ngorongoro division, as part of efforts to enhance access to water for wildlife, livestock, and local residents.

An assessment conducted by NCAA experts will facilitate the rehabilitation of a livestock watering trough in Sendui village and the improvement of infrastructure, including a 140,000-liter water storage tank at Nainokanoka Secondary School, which has been beneficial to both students and the surrounding community.

The existing water trough in Sendui village, which serves the villages of Sendui, Alailelai, and Bulati, has undergone a rehabilitation assessment. The team of experts also inspected the construction project of a new water tank at Nainokanoka Secondary School, which will supply water to Irkeepusi village, Irkeepusi Primary School, Lemala Gate, and the hotels located in the Lemala area.

Alongside the improvement of water infrastructure, NCAA experts, in collaboration with community leaders, are continuing to provide education to local residents on the proper management and maintenance of water systems to ensure the sustainability of these projects funded by the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority.
