Muslim Hassanali Commends CCM’s Decision, Pledges Loyalty to the Party.
Dar es Salaam
Former aspirant for the parliamentary seat under the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) ticket in Kinondoni Constituency, Muslim Hassanali, has stated that he has accepted the outcome of the nomination process with goodwill, despite his name not making it through the shortlist.
Speaking to journalists today in Dar es Salaam, Hassanali emphasized that CCM is a party that adheres to established rules and regulations and operates under the principles of its constitution.
“I have humbly and respectfully accepted the decision of my party, whose constitution clearly stipulates that committees have the mandate to screen and shortlist aspirants who picked nomination forms,” said Hassanali.
He added that being left out of the shortlist does not signify unworthiness within the party, as there are still many opportunities for members. He stressed that a parliamentary seat is not a job but a platform to serve the people.
“Personally, I hold no grudges in my heart, and I will continue to be a loyal member of CCM. I will join the nominated candidates in promoting our party and contribute wherever necessary,” he affirmed.
Addressing some aspirants who were eliminated and are now demanding refunds of their contributions, claiming unfair treatment, Hassanali urged them to desist from such behavior as it tarnishes the party’s image. He clarified that the fees for nomination forms are part of the party’s contribution mechanism.
Additionally, he advised members with grievances not to escalate issues outside the party but to engage relevant leadership and offer constructive input, noting that no political party in the world is perfect.
