Former Speaker Job Ndugai Passes Away in Dodoma



The Speaker of the National Assembly of the United Republic of Tanzania and President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Hon. Dr. Tulia Ackson (MP), has announced with deep sorrow the passing of Former Speaker and former Member of Parliament for Kongwa Constituency, Hon. Job Yustino Ndugai. The death occurred today, August 6, 2025, in Dodoma.

“With profound sadness, I wish to inform the nation of the passing of our leader, veteran politician, and Former Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Job Yustino Ndugai, who passed away today in Dodoma. I extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, friends, and the people of Kongwa Constituency. May the Almighty grant them strength and patience during this difficult time,” said the Speaker.

The Parliament Office, in collaboration with the Funeral Committee and the deceased’s family, has begun organizing funeral arrangements. Further details regarding the funeral schedule will be communicated later.

May the soul of the departed rest in eternal peace. Amen.
