The Dar es Salaam Special Zone Police have arrested two suspects for allegedly breaking into a house at night and stealing cash amounting to TZS 105 million belonging to Xue Huaxion, Director of Huaren Company located in Salasala, Kinondoni.

Speaking to journalists today, August 10, 2025, in Dar es Salaam, the Special Zone Police Commander, SACP Muliro Jumanne Muliro, named the suspects as Mathias Charles Joakim (alias Chingila), 24, a resident of Salasala, Kinondoni, and Kassim Abdallah (alias Kipae), 30, a resident of Tegeta.

He said that after thorough investigations and interrogations, police managed to recover TZS 82 million in cash and USD 267 that had been stolen. Further legal action is expected to be taken against the suspects.

In a separate incident on August 8, 2025, in the Tabata Matumbi area, police arrested two suspects believed to be receivers of stolen property, specifically motorcycles. The suspects are Hamad Mohamed Kamea (alias Mpemba), 49, a resident of Kigogo, and Abul Ramadhan Ally, 20, a resident of Yombo.

They were found in possession of two motorcycles — registration number MC 537 EWT (Boxer) and MC 951 ESS (TVS) — which were confirmed to have been stolen from different locations. Legal procedures are ongoing.

SACP Muliro stated that between June and July 2025, the police had completed investigations into various cases and taken the suspects to court.

Among the achievements are convictions in cases involving violence against women and children, including:

1. Musa Bakari (36), a driver and resident of Mbezi Makabe, sentenced to life imprisonment for sodomy by the Kinondoni District Court.

2. Khalifani Ramadhani (25), a resident of Kiponza, Chamazi, sentenced to 30 years in prison for armed robbery (knife) by the Temeke District Court.

He urged members of the public to continue cooperating with the police to strengthen community policing systems in various neighborhoods and help close the loopholes criminals use to commit offenses.
