Tanzania and Egypt to Expand Cooperation



On the sidelines of the 47th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union and the 7th Mid-Year Coordination Meeting of the African Union, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Hon. Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo (MP), held talks with his Egyptian counterpart, Hon. Dr. Badr Abdelatty, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptians Abroad of the Arab Republic of Egypt.


The two ministers discussed ways to strengthen and expand cooperation between Tanzania and Egypt, identifying various strategic areas aimed at promoting economic and social development. These include boosting trade between the two countries, environmental conservation in the fight against climate change, and collaboration in the aviation sector.


They also explored the possibility of enhancing trade cooperation and promoting skills exchange among professionals in various sectors, including conference tourism and the health sector.
