SEQUIP Project Brings Educational Opportunities to Geita Region.

Through the Secondary Education Quality Improvement Project (SEQUIP), residents of Geita Region have benefited from the construction of two new secondary schools, improving access to quality education in the area.

Among the schools is the Geita Girls’ Secondary School, located within Geita Municipality, which has already begun offering educational services to students.

The government has allocated TZS 4.1 billion for the construction of various infrastructures at the Geita Girls’ Secondary School. These include science laboratories, classrooms, staff and student toilets, dormitories, teachers’ houses, an administration block, a dining hall, an ICT building, and sewage pits.

Additionally, the government is constructing a modern Vocational Secondary School in Iboya Village, Mbogwe District, at a cost of TZS 1.6 billion.

The completion of the new Vocational School is part of the implementation of the revised 2014 Education and Training Policy, updated in 2023.
