The ruling party, Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM), has commended the structured goals laid out in Tanzania’s National Development Vision 2025–2050, describing it as a clear roadmap and strategy to achieve development and address the country’s core challenges.

The party emphasized that the Vision aims to guide Tanzania toward becoming a strong, inclusive economy that builds a competitive edge.

Khamis Mbeto Khamis, Secretary of the Ideology, Publicity, and Training Department of the CCM Special Committee of the NEC in Zanzibar, praised President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan’s sincere commitment to driving the development agenda forward.

Mbeto said that strategies focusing on building a society with quality education, good healthcare, safe housing, and sustainable environments are key responses to climate change—constituting a solid and strategic plan.

“The National Development Vision launched by President Dr. Samia carries the hopes of Tanzanians. It is a vision committed to transformation and fast-tracking real progress,” Mbeto said.

He added that the Vision lays a foundation for enhancing good governance, sustaining peace, security, and stability—fostering the development of three key pillars and the mission to uplift national development.

“Creating an inclusive and competitive economy means you already know what you want. When you empower your people to drive development, you have already succeeded. Even when you formulate policy strategies for environmental conservation, it shows preparedness both in mindset and policy,” he stated.

Mbeto further noted that in order to achieve these and other objectives, the Vision prioritizes key sectors such as agriculture, tourism, industry, and mining.

“There is also a focus on the blue economy, innovation and sports, as well as financial services—all mentioned with the aim of accelerating transformation and development,” he explained.

The publicity secretary also applauded the Vision for incorporating critical enablers such as integrated transport, energy, technology, research, and digital transformation, which will significantly fuel rapid development.

“For us in CCM, it is a matter of pride to have a strong and clear National Development Vision extending to 2050, guided by a 25-year Development Plan. What remains now is diligent supervision and full implementation of the shared plans,” he concluded.
