GOVERNMENT BUILDS MODERN GIRLS' SECONDARY SCHOOL AND VOCATIONAL SCHOOL IN MWANZA REGION
The Sixth Phase Government under the leadership of President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has completed the construction of a modern girls’ secondary school in Magu District, Mwanza Region.
The school has been built through the Secondary Education Quality Improvement Project (SEQUIP) at a cost of TZS 4.1 billion and features comprehensive infrastructure.
Constructed facilities include four science laboratories (for Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Geography), 22 classrooms, six offices, 23 toilet cubicles, nine dormitories, five teachers’ houses, an administration block, dining hall, an ICT building, sewage pits, and a perimeter fence.
Additionally, through the SEQUIP project, the government has allocated TZS 1.6 billion and is finalizing the construction of a new vocational school in Mhungwe Village, Misungwi District, Mwanza.
The new school project includes eight classrooms, two offices, a library, administration building, two science laboratories (for Chemistry and Biology), an ICT building, four dormitories, a dining hall, two vocational workshops (for Electrical and Masonry training), one teacher’s house, and eight toilet cubicles.
