DR. YONAZI CHAIRS THE MEETING OF THE TANZANIA NATIONAL COORDINATING MECHANISM (TNCM)

The Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (Policy, Parliament and Coordination), who also serves as the Chairperson of the Tanzania National Coordinating Mechanism (TNCM)—the body responsible for overseeing the implementation of Global Fund-supported programs—Dr. Jim Yonazi, has chaired a meeting of TNCM members to approve the revised budget for the implementation of Malaria, Tuberculosis, and HIV/AIDS programs under Grant Cycle 7 (GC7) for the period 2024 to 2026.


The meeting was held on July 10, 2025, at the Fair Competition Commission building in Dar es Salaam. It was attended by representatives from the Prime Minister’s Office (Policy, Parliament, and Coordination), the President’s Office – Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG), the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Health, the Tanzania Commission for AIDS (TACAIDS), the Medical Stores Department (MSD), the Local Fund Agent (LFA), TNCM Secretariat, Civil Society Organizations (Non-State Actors – NSAs), International Organizations (WHO, UNAIDS), and Development Partners including the US Government, the British High Commission, and representatives from the Global Fund.
